Eat your heart out at The Hart and the Hunter!
My recent visit to the PaliHotel was nothing short of Wonderful. My normal breakfast routine includes Special K and an espresso but on this particular morning, I was feeling a bit creative. I took myself out to brunch like a good Angeleno. You have to understand that Brunching is almost considered a sport in Los Angeles. On any given day of the week, restaurants are packed with people ordering their Avocado Toasts and Cappucinos. I wanted to see what all the hype was about. As I was driving down Melrose Avenue, one of the hippest streets in the city, I came upon the cutest boutique hotel called The PaliHotel and I had to stop in. I had heard only great things about their restaurant in the hotel, The Hart and The Hunter, so I wanted to try it out for myself. It was mouth-watering to say the least.
As I flung open the door of the hotel, I was amazed at how beautiful the lobby was decorated and how every detail was perfect. All of a sudden, I heard someone call my name from the back area where the restaurant was located. "Katie!" Low and behold, it was my old friend Lisa, who now manages The Hart and The Hunter and is such a delight to be around. I also ran into one of the best coffee baristas in town, Bridgette, and they both made my experience fabulous. Naturally, I ordered the Avocado Toast with a Fried Egg and an Almond Milk Latte. Both were delicious and I left very full. I sat on the patio, enjoying the sunlight, admitting that I truly felt at home. I would go back again and again. If you’re looking for somewhere to take mom for Mother’s Day, this place is a MUST. Mom + Avocado Toast = Momocado!

- Almond Milk Anything! (Latte for me!)
- Coconut Almond French Toast with mascarpone coconut whipped cream, berries, and almonds.
