Hidden Gem of Beverly Hills: The Crescent Hotel!
A question for my out of towners: If you have never visited Beverly Hills, what picture comes to mind? Is it the palm trees swaying against a blue sky canvas? A decadent woman dressed to the nines, swinging her Chanel tote down the world famous Rodeo Drive? Or do you imagine a beautiful hotel, where people are sitting around outside in the sunshine sipping on their glasses of Chardonnay? While all of these are pretty accurate depictions of this fabulous city, there’s one special place that comes to mind: an art deco masterpiece hidden in the streets of the 90210. A place where you can go to get away from all the hustle and bustle, where you can surround yourself with iconic photos taken by Terry O’Neill and feel like you are worlds away. Allow me to introduce to you, the one and only, Crescent Hotel. I have to admit that I have lived in LA for almost a decade and had never heard of this beautiful establishment until recently. I wanted to do an article on my hometown, Beverly Hills, as sort of a love letter to what this city means to me. I couldn’t have found a better place to do it than The Crescent. This hotel was built in 1927, the time of old Hollywood, and was completely refurbished. From the astounding interior design to the spacious and beautiful rooms, everything felt like magic. Let me walk you through one of the most gorgeous hotels that will make you want to book your next vacation or staycation here.
This hotel is straight out of a fairy tale; it actually reminded me of a Tuscan villa in Italy. As I strolled down the hallway to my room, I couldn’t help but stare at all the amazing photographs by the legendary photographer Terry O’Neill. As I entered my room, a smile lit up my face when I noticed a cute hummingbird that decorated the wall above my bed. The room was colorful, fun, and the attention to detail was meticulous. It came equipped with an enormous plasma screen TV, docking station, NEST bathroom toiletries, a small refrigerator, a table with a few chairs for working, and an amazingly stylish couch for that additional touch. The rooms are spacious and you definitely cool off from that California sun with the refreshing AC.

One of the highlights of this amazing hotel is that it has plenty to offer for guests visiting from out of town. You will find downstairs their unique lounge area where they host Happy Hour everyday from 5pm-6pm and hotel guests can drink beer and wine for FREE. How cool is that? The lounge is surrounded by exotic palms and plants that make you feel like you’re living the Beverly Hills bungalow lifestyle. In the mornings, a delicious and elaborate buffet-style breakfast is served in the lounge area and is complimentary for hotel guests from 7am to 10am. The buffet has an amazing display of fresh fruits, cheeses, pastries, eggs, hot foods and even champagne to make mimosas. It is quite the display! They also have a wide variety of travel books and they provide flyers for all of the happenings in the area. It’s a great place to learn about all of the cool events happening around the city!
Located in the heart of Beverly Hills <3
This hotel is located in the heart of Beverly Hills on the corner of Brighton and Crescent Way. It is conveniently located literally a stone’s throw distance away from amazing shopping and restaurants right in the center of Beverly Hills. In fact, during my staycation, we dined next door at Il Pastaio, a happening-hot spot for celebrity sightings, Beverly Hills locals, and delicious Italian cuisine. All in all, I give this hotel a fabulous 5 star rating in every category: Hospitality, Design, Comfort, and Setting were all off the charts!
